Step Trutnov a.s. wins gold Stevie® Award in 2012 International Business Awards SM
Prague, Czech Republic – 15 August 2012 – Step TRUTNOV a.s. was named the winner of a Gold Stevie® Award in the Company of the Year - Energy or Utilties category in The 9th Annual International Business Awards today. Winners to Be Celebrated at Gala Banquet on 15 October in Seoul, South Korea.
The International Business Awards are the world’s premier business awards program. All individuals and organizations worldwide are eligible to submit nominations – public and private, for-profit and non-profit, large and small. The 2012 IBAs received entries from more than 50 nations and territories.
Nicknamed the Stevies for the Greek word for “crowned,” the awards will be presented to winners at a gala awards banquet at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Seoul, South Korea on 15 October.
More than 3,200 nominations from organizations of all sizes and in virtually every industry were submitted this year for consideration in a wide range of categories, including Most Innovative Company of the Year, Management Team of the Year, Best New Product or Service of the Year, Corporate Social Responsibility Program of the Year, and Executive of the Year, among others. Step TRUTNOV a.s. won in the Company of the Year category for Energy or Utilties.

Stevie Award winners were selected by more than 300 executives worldwide who participated in the judging process this year.
“Entries to the IBAs grew substantially this year,” said Michael Gallagher, president and founder of the Stevie Awards. “Despite slow economic conditions in much of the world, the quality of nominations was outstanding, demonstrating that there are many companies that are innovating and growing regardless. We’re looking forward to celebrating this year’s Gold, Silver and Bronze Stevie winners at our gala event in Seoul on 15 October.”
Step TRUTNOV was founded in the early nineties as a company producing small pressure vessels. Later it became more oriented on other branches of the machinery industry, especially on boilers for burning whole bales of biomass. All of the company’s products were designed in house through their development, manufacturing, and verification in operating conditions. These strategically important products are and will be the determining factor of the company in the future. Primarily, the biomass is burned in compliance with the emission limits and the low values of carbon dioxide. This has a significantly positive influence on the greenhouse effect. The company has been operating on the Czech market for more than twenty years and recently has entered the foreign markets.
